The holiday season might be just about a wrap, but Jersey punk heroes Man Overboard bring a stacked lineup to The TLA tonight for their Lost Tape Collective imprint’s annual Christmas show. In addition to their mega-successful third album Heart Attack, the five-piece this year contributed to the Fearless Records compilation Punk Goes Christmas with a lively cover of The Kinks’ classic “Father Christmas,” which you can listen to below. Like we said, the lineup is stacked. In addition to Man O, the poppy indie crew Young Statues shares the bill, as well as the fast moving Modern Baseball – their sophomore album, You’re Gonna Miss It All, comes out in February, and even if you’re pretty sure you don’t like pop punk, you’re going to need to hear this record – it’s outstanding. Rounding out the lineup are Fireworks, Real Friends and Fight Amputation; more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Gauzey indie pop soundscaper Alex G headlines Kung Fu Necktie tonight. The lo-fi Philly artist had a prolific string of releases in 2013, most recently dropping a split 7″ with R.L. Kelly. Check out the EP below, and get more information on tonight’s show here.

Local sonic mystics Lotus touch down at the Electric Factory tonight. This year the psych-jam five-piece released Monks, an album highlighted by collaborations with rappers including Mr. Lif, Gift of Gab from Jurassic Five and Lyrics Born.
