Local blues-rockers Big Terrible headline MilkBoy.  Endorsed by Tommy Conwell, the three-piece released its third record, the Rotten City EP, in mid-2013.  The six-track album balances blues ballads with amped up, plugged in rock jams a la Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.  Tickets and information for the 21+ show can be found here.

Upstairs at World Cafe Live, Broad Street Music Group kicks-off 2014 with a showcase of up and coming local music.  Tonight’s line-up features Satellite Hearts, the young four-piece that stays at the front of the local rock scene constantly playing shows and steadily releasing music.  Tickets and information can be found here.  Listen to Satellite Hearts’ latest Four to the Floor EP below.

Psychic Teens headline Boot & Saddle tonight.  The local post-punk trio released its latest full-length COME last August and recently supplemented the record with a video for “Less.”  Watch the video below and pick up tickets for the 21+ show here.
