Kate Faust previews new songs “Same Side” and “In Bloom” with a pair of live videos

Kate Faust | photo by Emily Townsend | www.driftwooddocs.comLocal musician Kate Faust has shared a pair of live videos featuring new songs she’s working on for 2014.  As she explains in the first video, “Same Side” is a love song inspired by something a friend of hers said after getting married.  The black and white video shows Faust performing the track while playing piano, a simple but striking set up that puts the focus on the message of the song.  “In Bloom,” on the other hand, is a collaboration with Lee Clarke and hits at more dream pop points with its synths and drums.  Check out both new songs below to see what’s in store following last year’s Crucial Companion EP.
