Philly blues rock band John the Conqueror will be heading up The Legendary Dobbs this evening, before going on a European tour and releasing a new album The Good Life on February 25th. Soulful tracks make their blues sound attractive and inviting, and they’re sure to be even louder and entertaining live. Make sure to check them out before they leave the States for a good month; it’ll be their last Philly show until March 7th at MilkBoy.
Michigan fuzz punk four piece Pity Sex will be stopping by The Barbary tonight with Self Defense Family. Their most recent release Feast of Love is marked by their signature way of being angry, sad, but oddly happy all at once. After signing to Run For Cover Records and being featured on Studio 4′s Off the Board Comp, you should feel obliged to make it to see these up-and-comers. Check out the music video for the super catchy “Wind Up” below. Get tickets to the show here.
Knoxville, Tennessee’s indie pop band Royal Bangs will be performing at Milkboy tonight, bringing their upbeat and crazy sounds to Philly.
