Ballet X presents its Winter Series 2014, at the Wilma Theatre through Sunday. The performance features work by choreographers Joshua Peugh, James Gregg and Jodie Gates, and covers an eclectic mix of world, pop and classical music.

Explore the haunting love stories of Society Hill with the Full Moon Valentine’s Ghost Tour. Presented by Ghost Tours of Philadelphia, the tour include visits to the historic Powell House and Old Pine Cemetery. Friday and Saturday.

Opera Philadelphia presents Ainadamar. Conducted by Jack Mulroney and music directed by Corrado Rovaris, this flamenco-infused opera set during the Spanish Civil War explores the life of famed Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca and features dancing by the Antonio Gades Company. This production runs though Sunday at the Academy of Music.

Philadelphia Theatre Company presents Tribes. Billy, a deaf man, feels neglected by his boisterous, intellectual family, until he meets Sylvia, a young woman who is also on the brink of deafness. Through February 23.

Steel River Playhouse presents The Piano Lesson. The work is part of August Wilson‘s Pulitzer Prize winning 10-play cycle chronicling the 20th century African American Experience. Through Sunday.

Bucks County Playhouse presents Justin Guarini: Lovesick, a biographical play chronicling the numerous places love has taken this American Idol contestant. Friday and Saturday.

My Swingin’ Valentine starring Martha Marie Wasser, celebrates love Sunday at the Adrienne Theater.
