Central PA natives Younger Me are releasing a new EP called Coloring Book this week, and we’ve got the premiere of “Burn Alive” for you to check out below.  The five-song record follows up the trio’s summer anthem “Swimming Pool.”  With punchy drums and an infectious hook played on the crystalline Fender rhodes, “Burn Alive” is a tight pop single that boasts sing-along lyrics and harmonies in all the right places.  From Younger Me’s Brent Gregory:

Burn alive is probably our most “pop” attempt to date, with fairly simplistic ideas compared to our other songs.  It’s a bit of an homage to Motown, when pop music used to be loud & aggressive but still made you want to dance and left you with tunes stuck in your head. The lyrics are pretty straight forward. It’s a love song about burning with passion, and coming to the conclusion that you would literally rather set yourself on fire than ignore said love.

Stream “Burn Alive” below and check out the full EP here.  Younger Me open for Flyermile and Thrills at Boot & Saddle on Saturday, March 8th.  Tickets and information can be found here.
