Yellow Ostrich are an indie rock band based in Brooklyn, New York fronted by Alex Schaaf. The band’s new album, Cosmos, is their third full length, and was inspired by the 1980 PBS series by Carl Sagan and the work of astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake. Below, download “Shades,” a guitar-driven alt-rock song with electronic arrangements that give the song a dynamic musical range. Yellow Ostrich play Boot & Saddle on April 3rd. They open for Philly’s Pattern Is Movement who will celebrate the release of their new album that night.
