Before getting back to work on a new album and kicking off a co-headlining tour with Hellogoodbye next month, Vacationer will headline this month’s Communion Club Night tonight at Underground Arts. The Philly-based pop band, who are working on their follow up to 2012′s Gone make relaxing music that echoes the sounds of summer and relaxation. Also on tonight’s bill is NYC folk-pop trio Pearl and the Beard who plan to release their third full-length this year. Chameleon Club welcomes The Wonder Years to its stage tonight for their Greatest Generation World Tour. The tour takes its names from the beloved pop-punk act’s latest release which arrived last spring via Hopeless Records and earned praise from long-time fans and critics who consider them one of the best bands in the genre. Ahead of their performance at this year’s SXSW and release of their Van Morrison-and-Tom Waits-inspired new EP, TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb will kickoff their tour at Kung Fu Necktie tonight with Ron Gallo and Purples. A follow-up to 2012′s Manufacturing Joy, the new release is bound to have a bit of the upbeat despair vibe that commands its predecessor.
