New Jersey pop / punk outfit Man Overboard has spawned a side project for bandmember Zac Eisenstein called Farpoint.  Eisenstein traveled to Missouri last summer to record Farpoint’s debut EP Think About the Future, released by Lost Tape Collective this month.  ”Are We Gonna Make It” off of the 7-song effort has a space-age, technology-driven feel to it, with modded computer synths that sound not unlike Hal in 2001: A Space Odyssey, while Eisenstein’s vocals sound like they’re being transmitted from another atmosphere.  Floating around the hardware are distant pings and reverbed backing vocals to complete the outer space pop / punk picture.  Stream the track below and check out the full EP here.
