The 2nd annual Make Music Philly is happening on Saturday, June 21st. It’s a day of free music all over Philly, performed by anyone who wants to be a part of it. Our “matchmaker” software is now up and running and you can submit your band or venue to play.

This year, MMP wants to double the events: the goal is at least 300 performances. Also this year, Make Music Philly will culminate in a free concert to take place at Penn’s Landing on the Delaware River waterfront to close the event (artists to be announced).

Make Music Philly has also launched a Kickstarter campaign. With a goal of $20,000, MMP will use the funds to support the web site that serves as a way to connect artists and venues. The web site also contains a complete, searchable listing of all events. The money will also fund print materials for getting the word out about the event, advertising, and T-shirts for attendees and folks who pledge.

Below, check out the video highlights of Make Music Philly 2013. We hope to see you this year either as a performer or as part of the city-wide audience.
