Seattle emo four-piece Special Explosion paid a visit to WXPN studios on March 2, 2014, just after playing their first Philadelphia show at PhilaMOCA. In this live session recorded for the Indie Rock Hit Parade, the band kicked things off with a performance of “Clotheslined” – the outstanding single that bridges Death Cab and Ida, heard on their The Art of Mothering EP released this year on Topshelf Records. They also debuted new song called “Martians Are From Mars,” and played the two-part title track. Listen to the session and grab a free download below, and check out the gallery for scenes of the band in our studio.
