Philly raucous rock outfit The National Rifle was moving in a decidedly 80s electronic direction on their last album, Almost Endless, and three of the bandmates have rechristened themselves with a evocative new name – Bondage and Discipline – and continue to chase that sound further. The band plays it debut headlining set tonight at Kung Fu Necktie. Download “Only Your Love” below and get tickets and more information at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Seattle indie pop / punk / satirical four piece TacocaT doesn’t get out to Philly nearly enough, so tonight’s appearance will make a trip out to West Philly’s Golden Tea House totally worth it. Their new NVM is unbelievably fun; listen below and see if you can easily get “Bridge to Hawaii” unstuck from your head. (Hint: you can’t.) Tickets and info can be found here.

North Jersey folk / rock heroes River City Extension are in a bit of a reinvention stage, but that’s not going to stop them from showcasing a set of new songs from their forthcoming LP Deliverance tonight at Boot and Saddle. Frontman Joe Michelini recently talked to The Key’s Beth Ann Downey about the band’s journey with the new material; read the interview here, watch an animated show trailer below and get tickets and info at the XPN Concert Calendar.
