Robert Alfons, who goes under the moniker Trust, is bringing his spacey jams back to earth. The experimental artist started his project in 2009, but found success in 2011 when he toured for similarly ambiance-induced bands Crystal Castles and DFA1979. He released Joyland just in March – an 11-song LP loaded with synthy, hypnotic beats overdubbed with Alfons’ deep, calming voice. Check him out tonight at Voyeur along with Making Time. The show starts at 9 p.m. (and will last until 3:30 a.m.). The $10 tickets can be purchased here.

Folky singer/songwriter duo Bird Watcher is coming out of the woods and into Johnny Brenda’s tonight. The band is comprised of Jesse Soifer and Julian Booker, host of Sleepy Hollow, and though they don’t have an album out yet (they’ll release one in the summer), the two have a slew of smooth singles out. And as of recently, they announced that yet another will premier during tonight’s show, starting at 8 p.m. The $10 tickets can be purchased here.
Foot-stomping, in-your-face rock and rollers The Shackeltons will be making an appearance at Ortlieb’s tonight. They haven’t released any new material since 2012′s Mum EP, but their fresh sound makes up for it. Each song is packed with a different sound making every single stand out on its own. Oh, and it’s important to take note of the vocals which are vaguely reminiscent of Cage the Elephant. Check them out tonight. The show starts at 9 p.m. and the $10 tickets can be purchased here.
