David Wax Museum classifies their own sound as “Mexo-Americana,” claiming a uniqueness that blends Americana folk and Latin influences into one. Upon the release of their fourth album, Knock Knock Get Up, they were named WXPN’s Artist to Watch  – and for obvious reasons you can hear for yourself tonight at Ardmore Music Hall. The show starts at 8 p.m. and the $18 tickets can be purchased here.

Reunited Philadelphia rap group Plastic Little is coming tonight to Underground Arts. Made up of artists from a variety of different hip-hop groups formed in the early aughts and performed on the regular until their 2007 hiatus. Tonight, they’re back to play Jump Magazine’s party at Underground Arts with fellow old-timers of the local club scene Sweatheart and freak-psych dudes Needle Points. The show starts at 8 p.m. and the $10 tickets can be purchased here.

Wake Owl is a combination of smooth violins, soft guitar notes, melodic piano and soothing vocals. All together, it makes for one perfectly heartwarming and folky sound. Tonight Pacific Northwest-based collective headlines MilkBoy. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. The $10 tickets can be purchased here

Also tonight…
