Tonight’s Concert Picks: Mastodon at the Electric Factory, Pine Barons at Vinyl Revival, the Italian Market Festival

American metal/ prog-rock band Mastadon will bring their crushing sound and screaming vocals to the Electric Factory tonight. With a new album, Once More ‘Round the Sun, due out June 24 via Reprise Records, there should be plenty of new material for the show. Get tickets to the event here. Watch “High Road” below.

Experimental alt-folk band Pine Barons will play at Vinyl Revival in Landsdowne tonight with Sparhawks, Laser Background and Weekender. Fresh off a performance with the Districts at the Church in Philly, there’s no slowing down the Jersey native Pine Barons, and the record store show should not be missed. This weekend marks the return of the annual Italian Market Festival in the South Philly region of the city. The outdoor event features vendors from all over the city in the nation’s oldest outdoor market. Besides over 100 food vendors, the festival will feature two days of free live music at four different entertainment stages, with artists like Johnny Showcase & the Mystic Ticket, New Sound Brass Band, Musician Impossible, Red Alert Band, Modern Bliss and DJ Johnny Looch.
