This weekend, Philly’s Strand of Oaks played the set to see at NonCOMM, and they opened the show with a pensive, contemplative new number from HEAL called “Shut In.” Today, you can hear the album version of the song streaming at Spin Magazine. Oaks frontman Tim Showalter wrote it about being in personal and creative isolation, and the hope of breaking out of it. He told Spin the survival anthem is “like scream therapy.” Listen here, revisit Oaks’ NonCOMM set below and get ticktes and info for their tour homecoming show September 19th at Boot and Saddle at the XPN Concert Calendar.
