“Psychedelic rock orchestra” is the simplest way to describe Philadelphia band Impressionist’s debut single, the aptly-titled “Everything.” The band’s sound is very avant garde; from a dreamy intro to intense guitar jam to dissonant saxophone solo, the single has a little bit of everything. As soon as you get used to one melody, it quickly changes to something entirely different. The track is a melting pot for music. It can’t be defined by one style, it exists in multiple realms of music, meaning the band surely lives up to its name. Check out “Everything” below and look out for the band’s self-titled debut album set for release on May 29th, as well as a its headlining show that same night at Boot & Saddle.
