Tonight’s Concert Picks: The Interest Group at Johnny Brenda’s, Donovan Wolfington at The Fire and Kansas Bible Company at MilkBoy

The Interest Group will bring their melodic, psych-pop vibes to Johnny Brenda’s tonight to open for Beat Culture and Blackbird Blackbird.  The foursome is returning to the stage after debuting some new tracks over a month ago at Underground Arts.  If you are looking for a relaxing evening zoning out to some chill ambient pop tunes, then definitely stop by.  Doors open at 8 pm for the 21+ show.  Find tickets for $10 here.

NOLA noise rockers, Donovan Wolfington, will play The Fire tonight.  They are currently touring throughout the U.S. and documenting their travels on their Facebook page.  In April the band released a 5-track album via Topshelf Records called Scary Stories You Tell In The Dark.  Catch them tonight along with Ovlov, Mumblr, Hundred Acre Woods and Pope.  Tickets and info here.

Kansas Bible Company is a 12-piece outfit out of Nashville.  Their music features horns, guitars, drums and piano.  Their two full-length albums were released back to back to each other; Ad Astra Per Aspera in 2011 Hotel Chicamauga in 2012. They are currently on tour and will stop at MilkBoy tonight along with Satellite Hearts.  The show is 21+ and tickets are $10.  You can purchase tickets here.
