Montreal’s Ought will perform at Boot & Saddle tonight in support of their debut More Than Any Other Day LP.  A few weeks ago we featured “Habit” as XPN’s Gotta Hear Song of the Week, a song that takes after Talking Heads and Jonathan Richman.  Stream and download the song below.  Tickets and information for the 21+ show with Dub Thompson and The Stammer can be found here.

You Do You take over Bourbon & Branch tonight for their annual “Yacht Rock Review” with Disco Hootenanny and Material Girl.  In addition to covers of yacht rock hits, there will be a juried costume contest with prizes like “The Michael McDonald Award for Ultimate Yacht Rocker” and “The Sean Penn Award for Best Man Madonna.”  More information can be found here.  Listen to You Do You’s “Lil’ Birdie” below.

Liam Finn brings his latest record The Nihilist to World Cafe Live tonight.  Though Finn was born into music royalty as the son of Split Enz / Crowded House’s Neil Finn, the former Betchadupa frontman has forged his own path with a number of band efforts and four solo records over a fourteen year career.  Tickets and information for the all ages show with The Chairman Dances can be found here.  Watch his video for “Burn Up the Road” below.
