Local countrified outfit Katie Frank & the Pheromones will be rocking out Bourbon and Branch tonight. The band, whose LP Counting Your Curses was released in March, have steadily been standing out as an artist to watch on the Philly scene, and will appear on the lineup of the Philadelphia Folk Festival later this summer. Information for tonight’s show is available on our concert calendar here, and below you can watch Frank’s smooth cover of Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock’n'Roll.”

Alo Brasil will be spicing things up at World Cafe Live this evening. Born from a desire to expose more Philadelphians to the spirit and zest of Brazilian music and dance, the music troupe sparks a good time and nearly always inspires concert-goers to get a light – or not so light – salsa step of their own going. Get information to the show here, and check out some live recordings of the group’s Key Studio Session from last spring!

Seattle experimental post-rock outfit Rose Windows will be returning to Philadelphia tonight with a show at Milkboy. The band’s 2013 release The Sun Dogs channels the same psychedelic vibes of groups like The Doors and Jefferson Airplane. Go here for show information, and below you can watch the video for “Wartime Lovers” from The Sun Dogs.

Also tonight…

The Felice Brothers at the Abbey Bar (9 p.m., $20, 21+)

Matthew Sweet at the Sellersville Theater (7:30 p.m., $29.50, all ages)
