Scottish singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini is releasing his new album, Caustic Love, on September 16th. The album is steeped in the soulful vibes and the classic sounds of Stax/Volt records, and is a reinvention of Nutini from singer-songwriter to soul crooner. It’s been five years in the making, and the reviews of the album (already released in the UK), have been nothing but sensational.

Using the original version of the song by Bettye LaVette as a starting point, the Scottish singer grabs hold of the song with all he’s got, owning the song with a soulful, heartfelt vocal delivery.

WXPN Welcomes Nutini to the Trocadero on September 20th. More info about the show and tickets here.
