English singer-songwriter Ben Watt will play tonight at Tin Angel with Bernard Butler, former lead guitarist of the British alternative rock band Suede. Known best for his part in the dance music duo Everything But the Girl, Watt has recently made the switch back to a more folksy sound (which is how EBTG originated) with the release of his newest album, Hendra, in April — his first solo album in 31 years. For more information and tickets, check out the XPN Concert Calendar and listen to the single, “Hendra,” off the new album below.

Indie pop duo Vita and the Woolf will be at Oritlieb’s tonight. The duo is made up of the breathy, melancholy vocals of Jennifer Pague and instrumentation of Joey Anderson. Vita and the Woolf’s single, “Mary,” is a beautiful harmony between voice and drums, although Pague’s powerful vocals drive the song forward. Listen to “Mary” below and check out the XPN Concert Calendar for more information and tickets.

King Buzzo, a.k.a. Buzz Osborne from The Melvins, has a show tonight at Underground Arts. Setting out as a solo artist, King Buzzo released his debut acoustic album, This Machine Kill Artists, back in June. The Key recently interviewed King Buzzo about his new solo tour and turning acoustic. Check out the interview here and go to the XPN Concert Calendar for tickets and more information about tonight’s show. Listen to King Buzzo’s song, “Dark Brown Teeth” below.
