Tonight’s Concert Picks: Dave Hause at Morgan’s Pier, Robert Glasper at The Dell, The Paper Kites at World Cafe Live and more

Philly native Dave Hause is back in his hometown for a free show at Morgan’s Pier tonight. The singer-songwriter, who has played in a few local punk-rock bands including The Loved Ones, began his solo career back in 2011 with his debut album, Resolutions. Hause released his second solo album, Devour, was released October 2013. Check out a live performance of Hause’s single, “We Could Be Kings,” from his World Cafe Live show back in April. Jazz pianist and record producer Robert Glasper will be playing at Dell Music Center tonight with Anthony Hamilton and Kenneth “Baby Face” Edmonds. In 2012, Glasper won a Grammy for Best R&B Album for his wildly-successful album Black Radio. Glasper has taken the classic elements of jazz and revamped them into something new for today’s generation with the more modern genres of hip-hop and R&B. Australian indie-folk outfit The Paper Kites will be at World Cafe Live, as part of its US/Canada summer tour. The tour is to promote the band’s newest album, States, released back in 2013.
