Philly-born, Cali-based rock n’ rollers Cheers Elephant headlines Union Transfer tonight with Toy Soldiers, who are playing their farewell show. Self-described as a “Chew it up, Spit it out, Rock and Roll” type of band, Cheers Elephant relocated from Philadelphia to Southern California late last year. All-female country-poppers Puss N Boots will be at TLA tonight. The country-pop trio, who includes Sasha Dobson, Norah Jones and Catherine Popper, released their debut album, No Fools, No Fun, this week and its a mix of originals and covers of classic Neil Young, The Band and Wilco. Baroque pop band Tutlie have show tonight at Bourbon and Branch. The local six-piece band released its latest album, Young Cries, in March and has been busy promoting it.
