Brazilian dance group PhillyBloco are bringing the party to World Cafe Live tonight. Recently, the 20 piece band brought its signature blend of pop and samba to the Northern Liberties’ “Saturday in the Park” concert, and played an energetic Key Studio Session with a mix of new and old sounds. Folkadelphia presents Cuddle Magic, along with Bad Braids and Liz and the Lost Boys at Germantown’s Rigby Mansion tonight. The local indie pop collective released Cuddle Magic and Phyllis Chen LP in April. In June, Elle.com premiered the trippy video for “Pretty Thing” off of Cuddle Magic and Phyllis Chen. In this interview with Elle, the band talked about how they came to be associated with Josep Font’s Delpozo clothing collection and their performance at the runway show during New York’s Fashion Week. New Jersy’s Holly Stock Music and Arts Festival returns tonight. The free concert features shows from about 45 great Philly and South Jersey bands across 6 different venues in Mt. Holly, NJ. Performers include Mo Lowda and the Humble, Alright Junior, Astronauts Really Fly, Strange Heat, Brooke DiCaro and Jersey Bound. Recently, Mo Lowda and the Humble did a Philly Tapes Philly Session with Roof Doctor, while Astronauts Really Fly put out a fun music video for “Growing Pains”. Watch “Growing Pains” below.
