Iconic singer songwriter Tori Amos returns to play Verizon Hall tonight. In May, she released a video for “Trouble’s Lament” from her newest album Unrepentant Geraldines. In a recent interview with CBS Sunday, Amos talked poignantly about turning fifty, her world tour and motherhood. In her video for “Promise”, Amos reflects again on motherhood by singing along with her daughter. Check out the duet below. Get more details about the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Seattle punk rock band The Presidents of the United States of America play at Union Transfer tonight. The quartet released their latest album Kudos to You in late February, during their annual PUSAFEST. In an interview with the Seattle Times, the band talked about their inspiration for the new album, “We didn’t have any material to work out. So we got there and stared at each other and stared at Chris’ notebook and started making noise. And we surpassed all of our modest expectations.” PUSA also released a video for the countrified “Poor Little Me”, which features plenty of closeups of the band member’s noses. The theme follows in the rest of the goofy, humorous songs in Kudos to You especially on tracks like “Slow Slow Fly”.  Listen to the song below. Get more details here.
