Ready for an awesome weekend of music? We thought so! We’ll be in on the festivities this weekend at the 53rd annual Philadelphia Folk Fest with everything from our own showcases to activities for the kids. Check out our schedule below or see the full festival line-up here.

Thursday Night concert just for Campers | Camp Stage, 8/14, 7:30 p.m.

As you may have heard a few months back, the festival’s Thursday night special on the Camp Stage, exclusively for the camping ticket-holders, will once again feature emceeing from World Cafe host David Dye. Starting at 7:30, Dye will welcome Angaleena Presley, Caroline Rose, Sturgill Simpson and Parsonsfield. Not camping out this year? No worries – you’ll be able to hear the performances broadcast on World Cafe this fall.

Philly Local Showcase with Helen Leicht | Camp Stage, 8/16, 11 a.m.

Saturday morning Helen Leicht will host a Philly Local Showcase at the Camp Stage from 11 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Performances to grace the stage are from favorites of ours such as Kwesi K, Irene Molloy, Ryan Tennis & The Clubhouse Band and Mutlu & Friends.

Kathy O’Connell brings Kids Corner to Folk Fest

Sunday afternoon, WXPN Kids Corner host Kathy O’Connell presents a Kids Corner line-up featuring Barbara Gettes, Dave Fry, Better’n Recess and John Flynn. But make sure to get there early – this event will take place on the Lobby Stage from noon to 1:20.

See you at Fest!
