James Murphy doing a DJ set at Morgan’s Pier in September

James Murphy is returning to Philly to do a DJ set at Morgan’s Pier on Saturday, September 13th. Former frontman for the defunct, yet beloved LCD Soundystem, Murphy recently talked with Pitchfork about his new creative venture; “I’m a director now.” While he continues to DJ and build a studio in Brooklyn, this year Murphy also created his own brand of coffee. As a director of his own short film, Murphy will be behind the camera as part of Canon’s Project Imaginati10n.
