MusicNotes from the Morning Show: Wilco marks 20th anniv, Radiohead teases new music and the life of Johnny Rotten


It’s been 20 years since Wilco first got together & they’re marking the occasion with some big doings! According to Wilco’s website:

Wilco’s never been a band that needs a particular reason to play shows, but this time, they’ve got one,” a press release on the band’s website reads, referring to the momentous anniversary. The group will also release their first ever “Best Of collection” in conjunction with the 20th, as well as a “Rarities box set.” Further details are yet to come.  Wilco will start a limited tour in Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina & NY.

Jeff Tweedy will play the Merriam Theater in Philadelphia on September 21.

John Lydon (AKA Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols) will release his autobiography called, “Anger is an Energy: My Life Uncensored” on October 9. Read more.


Radiohead is sharing a new song through an  App and they’re also preparing to head in to the studio to record a new album. More
