After months of groundbreaking (literally) construction, City Hall’s Dilworth Park has been transformed into vibrant multi-hub area for Philadelphia to enjoy. The 20,000+ square foot area that William Penn peers down upon seems to have something for everyone regardless of their niche, and music lovers can rest-assured that they are certainly no exception.

Though its ribbon-cutting ceremony took place only a few days ago its schedule is already jam-packed with upcoming music events. Dilworth Park will give hump day a breath of fresh air with a Live @ Lunch music series every Wednesday during September and October from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. First on the line-up is soulful guitar playing Brian LaPann this Wednesday, September 10. The curation of this series is focused on presenting various genres each week, including pop rock group Casey Alvarez Band, blues female vocal trio No Good Sister, gospel singing Enon Tabernacle Choir, and Latin funk band De Tierra Caliente. Each musician is from, yes, you guessed it, Philly. For a full list and schedule of Dilworth Park’s Live @ Lunch series click here.

Following along the theme of having a sound for everyone each Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. a different DJ will make magic on their turntables in the gorgeous fall atmosphere of City Hall. First up to play their mix of tracks is Philly’s beloved Deejay DJ on September 11 followed by an an opposite of the spectrum Sid Mark spinning Sounds of Sinatra the following week. The DJs at Dilworth Park will entertain during September and October and promises to be an open-air eclectic mix of everything from Top 40 to soul, from jazz to boogie. The full list and line-up can be viewed here.

OctoberFest is usually known for its abundance of beers, but Dilworth Park will make sure theirs has solid tunes to compliment their beer garden. October 18th, 23rd, and 25th will offer up the incredible music curation of WXPN’s Making Time RADio host Dave Pianka, along with live sets from DRGN King, Norwegian Arms, the Illvibe Collective and more.
