Philly garage rock outfit The Phosphenes have consistently delivered great music since 2012, including their most recent album Zoozanthella, which caught our ear with trippy, upbeat tracks like “Trouble’s Gonna Find You. This month, the band – Anthony Cedrone on guitars, keys and vocals, and Peter DiMeo on bass, drums and vocals – released a new self-titled EP that continues that catchy vibe from right from the start with opening track “Streetlight,” which has a round of “la la la la la la la” accompanying each line; it will be sure to be stuck in your head for days. Meanwhile “Guilt” is an easygoing acoustic track, and”It Feels Good To Belong” is the most unique of the bunch, opening with the sound of seagulls on a beach. Adding a chorus of birds to a rock and roll track is an interesting choice, but the band expertly makes it work. ” Below, check out their new EP.
