Indie power-pop trio Hurry is getting ready to release its debut record, Everything / Nothing, and recently dropped the new single “I Won’t Wait,” an upbeat track with a 90s punk flare. Interestingly enough this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this track, but it is the first time we’ve heard it sung by Hurry. Back in August, band members Matt Scottoline, Rob DeCarolis, and Joe DeCarolis took on pop-punk four-piece Mike Bell and the Movies in our first Key Studio Session battle; during the cover round, The Movies did a rendition of “I Won’t Wait.” After hearing their take on it, we couldn’t wait to see how Hurry originally interpreted how to perform the opposite-of-a-love-ballad lyrics. It was well worth the wait; check it out below. Hurry’s debut album Everything/Nothing is set to be released October 7th via Hot Green Records.
