Swedish indie pop singer Lykke Li plays Union Transfer tonight with Mapei. After emerging on the scene in the late 2000s, Lykke Li has continued to pump out evocative new material that has been incorporated into major motion films including Twilight and The Fault In Our Stars. Her latest album, I Never Learn, was released in May and was caleld”both spartan and expansive” by Pitchfork. Sharing the stage with Mapei, the Swedish-American  R&B pop singer, the show tonight is sure to draw out quite a crowd. Check out her video for “Gunshot” below and visit the XPN Concert Calendar for more information.

Catfish and the Bottlemen take on MilkBoy tonight. Starting from DIY pop-up shows in the UK, this Welsh garage rock band has gained momentum and is now signed onto Island Records. You can watch their music video for “Cocoon” below. For more information on tonight’s show, head over to the XPN Concert Calendar.

Rise Against plays this evening at The Tower Theater. The esteemed alt-punk group is sure to bring out its rabid fan base this evening, especially since it’s their first Philly-area show in over two years (and the first since their latest album The Black Market was released back in July). You can find more information on tonight’s show here. Check out their music video for “Make It Stop (September’s Children)” that they made in collaboration with the It Get’s Better Project to combat bullying in schools.
