The Who will bring its 50th anniversary (and reportedly final) tour through Philadelphia, making two stops at the Wells Fargo Center.  We’ve got a little time to wait though – the legendary English rock group won’t be hitting our town until May 17th and November 4th of next year.

The last time Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend came to Philadelphia was in 2012 when they took Quadrophenia out for a 40th anniversary spin.  This time around they will be armed with a new greatest hits record Who Hits 50!, which will feature some new material alongside favorites from the band’s 11-album career.  Last week Daltry and Townshend released “Be Lucky,” their first new single in almost decade (listen below).  Tickets for both 2015 dates go on sale October 17th at 10 a.m..  More information will be available here.  Special note: currently, the November 4th date is the tour closer and therefore perhaps the last time the band will perform on stage together.  Check out footage from The Who’s 2012 Philadelphia show on Youtube here, courtesy of Pillgrimsprogress.
