Philly rock faves The Districts just announced their winter tour in support of their their latest full-length, A Flourish And A Spoil, and it has them playing a headlining show at Union Transfer on February 14th. It’s something of an adopted hometown show for them; their O.G. hometown show takes place two days earlier, at Lancaster’s Chameleon Club on February 13th. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, November 21st.

The band’s tour brings them down south for an official showcase slot at SXSW; they’re the one of two Philadelphia bands included in the latest round of SXSW artists, which also was announced today. Flourish comes out on Fat Possum Records on February 10th, and it was recorded this summer John Congleton – the Dallas-based producer who’s worked on recent records by St. Vincent and Angel Olsen. The first track, “4th & Roebling,” is a punchy rager named for an intersection in Brooklyn where The Districts parked their car to play their first New York show. Check out the track below, and get more information on the shows at the XPN Concert Calendar.
