MusicNotes from the XPN Morning Show: Watch U2, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Martin, Kanye West & Carrie Underwood perform at World AIDS Day concert for RED



Bono was absent (recovering from serious injuries sustained in bike accident) but that didn’t stop U2 from performing with some special guests, live in NYC’s Times Square on World AIDS Day, Monday December 1st for RED.

Filling Bono’s role as front man for U2 were Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Bruce Springsteen.  Also on the bill:  Kanye West, and Carrie Underwood.   Segments to raise awareness about AIDS, aired between the sets, including a video appearance by President Barack Obama. Former President Bill Clinton was there too, to introduce the show. Watch the entire concert below.
