Tinmouth close out their 2014 concert schedule with a show at Kung Fu Necktie tonight.  The local indie rockers were the subject of this week’s Key Studio Session, previewing tracks from their forthcoming debut LP Says.  Check out “Same Noise” below and get the full session here.  Tickets and information for tonight’s 21+ show here

A group of local musicians will gather at Underground Arts tonight to pay tribute to Bobbie Gentry and Ode to Billie Joe.  The concert marks the release of local author and journalist Tara Murtha’s new book about the record and the artist that created it.  Tonight’s concert will feature The Lower 40, a collective of Philadelphia artists led by ubiquitous bassist Phil D’Agostino.  Learn more about the project here, and tune in to today’s Free at Noon for a preview of the music here.  Tickets and information for tonight’s show can be found on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Dirty Dollhouse celebrates the release of 25 Shades tonight at Bourbon & Branch.  It’s the debut EP from the local folk trio, comprised of Chelsea Mitchell, Amber Twait and Vanessa Winters.  They’ll be backed by The Lawsuits for tonight’s performance, with support coming from New Sweden and Brian Dale Allen Strouse.  Watch the video for the EP’s title track below and pick up tickets here.
