Knox Hamilton are an indie rock group hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas that includes brothers Boots (lead singer) and Cobo (drums) Copeland, keyboardist Brad Pierce and bassist Drew Buffington. The love of song – melodies and hamronies – came to the Copeland brothers as young kids raised in their father’s church. Moving beyond the church songs to the likes of Beatles, Hall & Oates, and Phil Collins, the Copeland brothers continued to work on their songwriting craft and self-released an independent EP last year, The Great Hall. They are currently working on their debut album set for release in early 2015.
About the band’s name, they were rummaging through a thrift store in their home town and stumbled across an old 1970’s high school yearbook. “In it was a picture of one of the most rock ‘n’ roll dudes I have ever seen,” says Boots. “And his name was Knox Hamilton. We were searching for what to call ourselves, and it was a no-brainer.’”
