Buffalo-bred indie pop trio Lemuria return to Philly tonight for a headlining gig at Boot and Saddle. The band has been touring pretty hard in support of its 2013 outing The Distance is So Big, released on Bridge 9 records, so they’re likely due for a follow-up in 2015. Maybe they’ll introduce some new songs in their set tonight. In the meantime, listen to “Oahu, Hawaii” below and get tickets and information on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.
Philly rockers HighKick ring in the holidays tonight with their annual HighKixMas show at World Cafe Live. This year the band released its latest EP, Normal View, and recorded a Key Studio Session featuring new material earlier in the month. Tickets and information on the all-ages show can be found here. Below, listen to the new “Nothing Comes After.”
Philly’s Liz Longley moved to Nashville in 2011, and it worked out pretty well for her. The formerly folk / pop singer-songwriter grew her music in a decidedly more country direction, and in March she’ll release her debut LP on Sugar Hill Records. Tonight she returns home for a show at Ardmore Music Hall; tickets and information can be found below. Below, isten to a live set Longley palyed in Nashville earlier this year.
