South Philly’s Wallace Brothers Band headline a free show at Bob and Barbara’s tonight, bringing lively countrypolitan vibes to Broad and South. The band has been around for since 2007, and has had solid showings at the past two Philadelphia Folk Festivals – one year on the campground’s Front Porch Stage and one year on the main stage. Their music blends witty storytelling with sharp playing; check it out below a performance of “Jail” recorded live at the 2013 Philly Folk Fest, and get more information on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Ill Fated Natives continue their December residency at The Fire tonight. The blues-rock power trio is gearing up for the January release of their EP Savages; last month they smoked our studio with a hard-hitting Key Studio Session which you can download here. Tickets and information on the show can be found here.

Reggae-rap favorite Matisyahu brings his Festival of Lights tour to the TLA tonight. The annual run of shows always coincides with Hanukkah, and this year Matisyahu has his fifth studio album in tow. Akeda was released in June, and though it’s a sonic evolution for the artist, his marathon shows always run the gamut of his career. Below, watch Matisyahu performing his hit “King Without a Crown” during last year’s Festival of Lights tour and get tickets and information on the show here.
