Emerging Philly soul queen Jacqueline Constance headlines The Fire tonight with the arty and adventurous Brielle. Last year, the South Philly singer and songwriter released The Jacqueline Show, an imaginative album that blended positive melodies, slice-of-life storytelling and Constance’s voice (which reminds us of a young Jill Scott). Check out the video for “Good Life” (featuring Antwan Davis) below, and get tickets and more information on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.

80-indie rock infused trio Readership plays Bourbon and Branch tonight. The three-piece started as a collaboration among friends in the West Chester scene and released their #1 Recording (a play on Big Star’s #1 Record) last month. Tickets and information on the show can be found here.

As Instagram users know, Goat Mumbles is Rob Grote of The Districts, opening up the show tonight at Golden Tea House. What we don’t know is what a solo Rob set means – is he going to play acoustic renditions of songs from The Districts’ forthcoming A Flourish and a Spoil? Is he going to do new songs, or “solo” songs that may never make their way into The Districts catalog? As long as that incredible new number “Suburban Smell” is in the mix, I’m good. It’s a unique lineup all around – two rootsy acts (Grote and Shelf Life), two emo acts (Legs Like Tree Trunks, Clique). Info on the all-ages show can be found here.

Also playing:

Philadelphia Slick at Boot and Saddle (8 p.m., $10, 21+)
