Son Little (aka Aaron Livingston) performs a Fireside Session at Winterfest tonight, continuing a series of monthly concerts curated by The Key. The blues / rock musician and Roots collaborator was just added to the line-up of SXSW where he’ll showcase last fall’s Things I Forgot EP. Livingston was also recently on World Cafe, where he sung his breakthrough track “The River” and filmed a live performance of “Joy.” Listen to the appearance here and watch the video below. More information for the free Fireside Sessions can be found here.
Kicking Down Doors lead a night of local acts at Boot & Saddle tonight. The folk group came in for a Key Studio Session that premiered this week, singing some new songs they released at the end of the year. Mike “Slo-Mo” Brenner joined them on pedal steel guitar, reprising his role on the band’s debut record. Tickets and information for the show can be found here. Listen to “Stations In Between” from their Key Session below.
NAH performs at Cha-Cha’Razzi tonight. The one-man band and spin-off of 1994! released new music at the start of this year called Nobody Cares What Happens, No One’s Interested. Usually content to stay behind the controls and the drum kit, NAH’s Michael Kuhn took over the vocals on this two-track effort as well. Take a listen below and get more info on tonight’s show here.
