Local bassist Julie Slick and her new musical partner Marco Machera bring their exploratory instrumentals to Hard Rock Cafe tonight. The pair met in 2011 at a camp organized by King Crimson’s Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto and decided to “expand the vocabulary of the bass” together. Mastelotto will also join them tonight, along with local guitarist Tim Motzer. Learn more about Slick and Machera in The Key’s profile here. More information for the show can be found here.
