Bad Braids’ Megan Biscieglia / Photo by Elizabeth Lennox

A jackal is a small, carnivorous animal and Bad Braids‘ track “Jackal” from her upcoming album delivers a chilling fierceness that fits the name justly. The mastermind behind the project is Megan Biscieglia, and her howling vocals are highlighted behind an eerie folk-guitar riff. The slow-moving track is packed with bass-heavy drums and sophisticated harmonies. The  crescendo and haunting flute solos make this an emotional ride through Biscieglia’s lyrics.

The track was first introduced to us during her glowing performance at the Deli’s Choice/Cuts Series in November 2013 at Hotbox Studios. Now, the track will be featured on Biscieglia’s upcoming album, Eye of the Night, whichis due out in late March. You can listen to the track below.
