Japanese Breakfast is the solo project of Michelle Zauner, otherwise known as the front-woman of Philly four-piece Little Big League. With a new video and an upcoming US tour, Zauner continues to display raw emotion laced with indie pop (found on this summer’s “Where is My Great Big Feeling“) through Japanese Breakfast.
Zauner explained that the new video, “You’re Embarrassing Me,” is a compilation of clips from films like Chungking Express, La Collectionneuse and Wild Combination: A Portrait of Arthur Russell. Clips also include originals filmed with Cordell Stetson in Zauner’s backyard with a clamp light, projector and Zauner’s dog.
Japanese Breakfast’s Philly stop is scheduled for The Great Indoors on March 20.
