Following in the age-old tradition of answer songs, the latest single from Philly-bred electropop duo Marian Hill provides something of a response to their song “Whisky.” Where the band’s debut single likens the warm flush of romantic intoxication with the warm flush of, well, booze, the new “Wasted” suggests where that path can lead if followed too intently – whether you’re talking about love or Dewars.

“Words are blurring when you speak, boy I’ve got to tell you / now your tripping over me, I’m not here to hold you,” sings frontwoman Samantha Gongol in the new track you can stream below. “Wasted” will appear on the new Sway EP, to be released via Photo Finish / Republic Records this Tuesday, February 17th. The song premiered via Interview Magazine yesterday, along with a great Q&A with Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd, which you can read here.
