Stream the debut EP from talent-packed project The Rentiers

The Rentiers is a blossoming four-piece of well known talent: Joel Tannenbaum, whose musical resume includes Plow United and Ex Friends (as well as occasional writing for The Key) and Mikey Erg, the punk ruck drummer who has a repertoire of former bands (The Ergs!, The Dopamines, etc.). Joining them on the album are Anika Pyle of Chumped, and Tyler Pursel of Goddamnit and Gym Class Heroes.

Tannenbaum’s formation of The Rentiers resulted in an EP that’s beautifully bare in comparison to his work with Plow United, revealing a stripped down punk sound heard best on “Votive Candles,” a track reminiscent of an pre-millenial blink-182.
