For many music fans, Lafayette, Louisiana is known mostly for its incredibly robust zydeco and cajun music scenes. But there’s something else in the gumbo down there including a little indie-rock, a little psychedelia, yet plenty of fun. Meet Feufollet. Since the late Nineties the band has been bridging genres and generations with their special blend of Louisiana music.

Feufollet, like other bands from Lafayette including the Pine Leaf Boys, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, the Red Stick Ramblers, and Givers, have the spirit of cajun and creole traditional music and rock and roll in their hearts. The band’s last album, 2010’s En Couleurs was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album. Feufollet release their new album, Two Universes, on March 24th on Feufollet Records.

Below, download the infectious Cajun and alt-country flavored “Know What’s Next,” from the band’s forthcoming album.
