Germantown’s Sleepless Sound Studio premiered their latest project today: the Red Room Series, a collection of performance videos, beginning with a three-track set from indie folk group Former Belle.

The four-piece group includes Bruno Catrambone from Cruisr, and opened with an unreleased track titled “Calming Me Down” that Catrambone’s sultry vocals and guitar ambience. “If I See You Again” from their Old Ghost EP is light and airy, building up an entrancing energy that’s hard to shake. “Better Off” from the band’s 2013 EP Cathedral, also appears in the set, and its direct lyrics pair powerfully with Catrambone’s soft, gritty vocals: “I’m never in your head / Doesn’t last too long / At least pretend it never did.”

Check out “Calming Me Down” below and watch Former Belle’s entire session at the Red Room Series website, where Sleepless Sound will publish monthly video sessions highlighting local artists.
