Our latest Indie Rock Hit Parade Live Session features an electrifying performance from the Oklahoma based band Broncho. Formed in 2010 around the core trio of singer/guitarist Ryan Lindsey, guitarist Ben King and drummer Nathan Price, Broncho released their second album, Just Enough Hip To Be Woman, in September 2014.

An effervescent blend of garage pop and new wave glitter, the album netted the band a spot on tour with iconic rocker Billy Idol earlier this year. Joined in the studio and on tour by guitarist Mandii Larsen and bassist Penny Hill (also of the Tulsa trio Low Litas), Broncho rip through a set of new songs in our studio.

Broncho’s set begins with two of the deeper tracks from their latest album. “Stay Loose” is, true to its name, a charming slice of jangle while “Stop Tricking” builds tension in an almost claustrophobic atmosphere. The last two songs in the session are the ones that kick of the new album: the giddy “Class Historian” and the stomping guitar attack of “What.”
